In her leisure time, Charlene enjoys the company of her husband Jim and their Golden Retriever, Annie, at their home in Vienna, Virginia.

COURTNEY ROGERS - Junior Designer

Courtney Rogers brings a unique background and unwavering passion to her role. Hailing from a small town in rural Ohio, Courtney's journey into interior design began at Bowling Green State University, where she graduated in 2016 with a major in Interior Design.

Married to her middle school sweetheart, John, an Active Duty Marine, Courtney and her husband, along with their beloved labradoodle, Gunner, have embraced a nomadic lifestyle as they traverse the country while John pursues his dream of becoming a fighter pilot.

For Courtney, the path to interior design has always been a dream, one she is fervently pursuing with the guidance of Charlene and the Monarch Design team. Her journey with the company began in 2015 as an intern, where she quickly realized that Team Monarch is more than just a workplace—it's a family, a place she truly belongs.

ARCH WILLIAMS - Principal

Arch Williams brings a unique perspective to design, shaped by his upbringing on a cattle ranch in Idaho. Reflecting on his formative years, Arch emphasizes the values of hard work, self-reliance, and the importance of genuine relationships.

Raised amidst the vast expanse of the land, Arch developed a deep appreciation for nature's elements—color, texture, shadow, and light. He believes in harnessing these natural principles to create spaces that evoke feelings of calm or exhilaration, akin to the experiences found in nature itself.

With a commitment to listening intently to clients' needs and desires, Arch finds inspiration in their stories and aspirations. He views design as a means to provide individuals with spaces that resonate with their innermost desires, whether it be a tranquil retreat by a stream or the thrill of adventure.

Despite his extensive experience and numerous projects, Arch remains passionate about his work, driven by the opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives through thoughtful and inspiring design.

DAREN MILLER - Freelance Designer

Originally from Utah, Daren Miller embarked on his career in visual merchandising before venturing eastward to Washington, DC, seeking new opportunities. Over the past 18 years, he honed his craft with a national retailer, specializing in window designs, fashion shows, store openings, and team management.

With a passion for interior design and a long-held dream of owning a home store, Daren realized his aspirations with the launch of And Beige in 2006. For a decade, he and his creative partners curated a space that became a staple for DC designers and eclectic retail enthusiasts alike.

Now, as a freelance designer with Monarch Design, Daren brings his wealth of experience to the team, contributing a fresh perspective and assisting in pulling spaces together. Beyond design, his interests extend to painting, writing, and staying abreast of the latest trends in the field.
